Lindsey Martinez is a licensed clinical social worker with over ten years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults and families. Lindsey began her career working with first time adolescent parents providing individual and group counseling along with education. She then spent five years working in the school system supporting students throughout elementary, middle to high school. Prior to joining Jamie LaFevers and Associates, LLC, Lindsey was a therapist at a private practice providing support to adolescents, young adults and adults for disordered eating, anxiety, body image concerns and family therapy. She believes that ongoing professional growth, learning and development are primary components of offering effective therapy.

Lindsey’s clinical work focuses on the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, disordered eating, women’s issues and relationship concerns. Lindsey enjoys providing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and supportive psychotherapy. She utilizes compassion, humor and empathy to create a nonjudgmental and warm environment where growth and healing are able to occur.

Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University and her Masters in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Additionally, she obtained her Professional Educator License through University of Illinois at Chicago.
