Sam has a masters in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Sam has been working in the social work field for 8 years. They strongly believe in building rapport and trust within the therapeutic relationship, walking alongside their clients on their personal growth and being an honest sounding-board. They specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ teens (ages 13+) and adults, trauma processing, depression, anxiety, grief, DID, PTSD, and on relationship and family issues.

Sam is certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and works with a strength-based focus. Sam is a relational therapist, meaning they will pull from different theories to fit their clients’ specific needs and situation. These theories include, but are not limited to, DBT, CBT, Feminist Empowerment, Narrative, Humanistic, and Systemic. Sam works with clients in Illinois and Texas. Sam is currently in network with UHC, Aetna, and BCBS and provides reduced rate services for those without insurance.
